My 2019 BMW 540i was having issues with smoke coming out, and when I went to the Bmw of sarasota they said the car was good to go, I wanted another opinion and am glad I got it as my car had many issues which they overlooked. American import auto is a great place to take your car as they gave me regular updates and recommendations about my car and after a lot of work were able to find the issue for which i brought my car in. They did an amazing job and wanted to thank Chris and mike for the amazing job they did!

Recommend the shop. Their diagnosis process is very thorough. It's a little bit expensive but hey, who wants a half-assed job. If they don't figure out the issue, they are not going to charge you for it. Again. You've definitely got to have a penny saved up in your bank account, but if you have a nice vehicle and you want a job done right that's going to be backed with warranty and done correctly. Definitely a decent shop

First time taking my vehicle here, and THEY ARE AWESOME! From the online appointment scheduler, all the way through to the completed repairs, it was fast, easy and pain free. Jesse did an outstanding job walking me through all the repairs that were suggested, and I’m confident the teams under the hood fixed it all correctly. Jesse was great in getting me some additional pricing on added items, and the car was ready when promised. I’ll be back, and with all my vehicles! Traveling to Venice FL on Good Friday to visit family for Easter weekend, the alternator in my Acura died while still about 30 minutes out. I got the car to my brother’s house by late afternoon and told him what had happened. He called American Import Auto for me (where coincidentally his car was in for repairs), and they said bring it in. I explained I was originally planning to leave Monday, and I would be greatful if they could do what they could to quickly get my car repaired after the holiday weekend. They diagnosed the problem and ordered the part on Monday. They got it delivered, installed, and out the door by Tuesday afternoon, and I was on the road by 2pm. I am extremely grateful for the outstanding service. My only regret is that I don’t live in Venice, and can’t have them work on my car next time. A great shop with great customer service is hard to find. You folks in Venice are lucky to have one!

I took my vehicle into American Import Automotive for a leak in my A C and I told them I had a bad thermostat. They charged me for two diagnostics didnt find the leak for $ 317.00 I would never recommend them to even fix a bicycle They are not ethical!

Very happy with the friendly service and quick turnaround. Both diagnostics and explanation were very thorough. Would definitely recommend!
